Personal Fitness Merit Badge Test

If you have already started this merit badge, you may:

1.  schedule your initial fitness test (requirement 6)

2.  attain approval of your 12-week workout plan (requirement 7)

Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge City of Dallas Citizen Emergency Response Team Participation August 30th from 7:15 am to noon

The City of Dallas has the need for six scouts to participate in a Citizen's Emergency Response Team drill on August 30th.  The scouts need to be in rugged clothing and closed toe shoes that can get dirty!  We need to meet at the Dallas Fire Rescue Training Academy located at 5000 Dolphin Road in Southeast Dallas. The scouts will participate in response activities as well as "victims" requiring first aid attention. Priority will be given to the senior scouts.  If transportation is needed, please contact Mrs. Crank.  We will be working on completing requirement 7.  Please complete and email Mrs. Crank the attached Dallas CERT Program Waiver and Release form.

THE BSA MUSEUM HAS POSTED OCTOBER MERIT BADGES OPPORTUNITIES.  THEY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:  Citizenship In the World, Family Life, Personal Management, Sustainability, Soil and Water, Energy, Law, Nuclear Science, and Reading.The cost of the workshop Is $20.  The National Scouting Museum is located at 1329 W. Walnut Hill Lane, Irving, Texas 75038.  To enroll, please call Elaine Bressman at 972-580-2466.  You will need to provide the following information Scout Name, Troop number, phone number, and email address.  If you choose to do a program through the Museum, please send a request to Ms. Crank to open a blue card for the merit badge.  Merit Badges taken at the Museum require the Scout Masters signature on the blue cards to sign-up. 

Medicine Merit Badge - August 18th 7 pm to 9 pm.

Did you ever want to find out more about the medical field?  Now is your opportunity!  We will be meeting at the BSA Offices located at 8605 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75235 on August 18th.  The meeting will start at 7 pm and be conducted by Mrs. Balanciere.  There will be a variety of physicians who will come to discuss their field of expertise.  Please sign up on the website if you plan on attending and print out the medicine merit badge worksheet.  Class A's are required for the session on the 18th.
