Welcome to the online presence of Boy Scout Troop 1989 located in Garland, Texas. We are the a recent troop addition to the Gray Owl District serving North Texas and are well on our way to providing fun and educational experiences for our scouts.
 
We believe that Troop 1989 fosters leadership and instills a sense of citizenship in every member of the organization. Many of the adult leaders including the scoutmaster are Eagle Scouts themselves. It is our goal to give every scout an opportunity to learn outdoor scouting skills first hand, obtain leadership positions, and feel a sense of accomplishment.
 

Troop 1989 is sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Garland, located at 930 W. Avenue B, Garland, Texas. We meet every Monday night at 7:00. If you are interested in joining, or just want to attend one of our meetings, email us at scoutmaster@troop1989.com and we will be happy to arrange for you to get to know our troop.

As an active scout troop, we are dedicated to providing a strong outdoor program for the boys. Many of our exploits can be viewed on our picture viewer page.
