Troop 1989 has been very active since it was activated in 2002. Our first campout was on the Brazos river at Horshoe bend, Texas in June of 2002. It was at Horshoe Bend where the initial members of Troop 1989 first learned the basics of being boy scouts. The boys pitched their own tents, cooked their own food, cleaned, and learned how to operate as a patrol.

Since then, we have continued to maintain a strong outing program. The activities range from canoe trips in Arkansas to backpackoree's in east Texas. This area of our webpage houses a pictorial history of our activities. To view pictures for an activity, place your mouse over the filmstrip above. By moving the mouse left or right you can move the filmstrip and select the outing you are interested in viewing. Each picture on the filmstrip represents a different Troop activity. By clicking on the activity picture, an image viewer will pop-up and allow you to view multiple pictures for that activity.
